in 1996 i was approached by elders asking me if i had at any time been inside a "gay bar' in the city center to which i replied "yes" since i had, i was renovating it on behalf of the brewery that owned it.. i advised them smugly that i go there daily and that i did not see a problem with it.

it was well known in town that it was closed for renovations and that no one other than contractors were in there.. i was told that there had to be a judicial meeting and was invited to attend which i did not and was given a note through my letter box stating that "the decision has been made to disfellowship you".

i kindly sent a letter telling them that the bar in question is not a "gay bar' since the bar is inanimate and therefor had no sexual orientation and that the bar was not a bar since it was gutted and therefor had no bar for it to be called a bar.. i further told them that the extent of my work was on behalf of the brewery who sublet the building to the landlord.. my work was to provide detailed interior redesign and nothing more.. therefor the judicial committee was formed in error based on assumption with no foundation and null and void.. oops, sorry please dont mention this to anyone was the reply, too late.. .

back in ancient israel, confession was just this thing you did if you were a good jew.

just like observing sabbath, fasting.. you get the point.

Just went and confessed again. In a decade I'm up to 2500+ Hail Marys and 15 weeks of fasting. I guess I'm that person who looked at the purity test as a personal challenge.

what's a polite way to ask a man to keep his hands to himself while conversing in a group with you?.

this neighbor of mine and i were sitting in chairs on the deck with other people.. he always touched me whenever he said anything to me or i said anything to him.. it was as if he was using touch like an antenna to send and receive signals.. i didn't know what to do, so instead of risking embarrassment for us both, i did nothing but stand up and step away.. i stepped away after he attempted to caress my hamstrings on one leg.. *shudder*.

wonder why 60+ year old men think that a woman being nice to him means she's hot for him.. also wonders why it's only the smoking, beer guzzling, scrawny, bony, and smelly old men who do that.. .

Thanks White Dove.... I surprise myself sometimes....I'm not always tactfull... As you are no doubt aware..... In that statement you are giving him what he wants .. to talk to you but on one condition and in using the formula.... when you do this I feel this you are not threatening him..... It is a pretty hardened individual you will respond by saying "I don't care about your feelings". If he responds by saying "Why do you feel that way" Simply say "I don't know I just do" If he continues to touch you look him in the eye and then down at his hand on your leg You will soon break the habit Some people are touchy feely by nature it's not sexual but then of course he may be a dirty old man ...You'll know which....Woman are usually pretty astute at discerning body language and the vibes....
